Partnership will combine Zylog’s automated PowerMigrator™ legacy application migration tool, with IBM’s leading technology stacks, to help organizations transform their mission critical business applications to an open, reliable and scalable JEE, DB2 and WebSphere environment in shorter time scales, and with significantly reduced migration and re-write costs
LONDON, United Kingdom, May 27, 2011: Zylog System Limited (ZSL), a publicly traded IT solutions and services provider announces a strategic partnership with IBM, UK. With IBM’s expertise in transforming legacy IT platforms through providing innovative software, hardware, as well as application and integration middleware, and ZSL, with substantial experience modernizing legacy software applications via their proprietary PowerMigrator™ tool will realise immediate benefits from the alliance, which enables the companies to approach current and prospective customers with a complete modernisation and migration offering to address their specific and varied IT requirements.
The partnership also serves to expand IBM’s ability to rapidly transform legacy software platforms via PowerMigrator, an innovative legacy software code conversion utility owned by ZSL. PowerMigrator, a proven Cloud Enablement and Modernisation platform, helps enterprises to automatically convert and migrate their applications written in PowerBuilder, FoxPro and Visual Basic programming languages, to .NET, Java EE, and SOA technologies.
