To help collect and analyze the data
and complete the 2006 ranking of the 500 largest North
American solution providers, VARBusiness partnered with
research firm Answers Research. VARBusiness designed
the survey, which was administered on its Web site between
February and April 2006, as a means to collect the data.
Independent data sourcing (e.g., filings, annual reports,
etc.) also was conducted. Finalists were ranked according
to their revenue in fiscal year 2005, based only on
the business generated from reseller-related services.
VAR Business 500 Event
CMP's VAR Business 500 event took
place for the sixth year in a row. The event began with
executive roundtables in the morning session, followed
by a presentation of industry case studies from top-level
analysts. The event ended with a final keynote and an
awards ceremony.
