This FameServ (FS) is intended to
automate the Incoming Fax Processes in a Company. The
plan was to start with receiving the fax and routing
to appropriate folders automatically and the system
has a set of user access to the appropriate folders.
Besides automating this process, we can also get an
overview report of all pending faxes in the system at
a given time and also develop flowcharts to find problem
areas. For example a company receives over 200 faxes
everyday. Now those faxes are scanned and placed in
the appropriate color sleeves. The various departments
can identify their faxes and their priority using this
color sleeves system and booked in queries. And the
faxes received from other companies or individuals are
placed in a common folder, Then the department peoples
acknowledge the faxes which has been addressed for that
department.
Scope of the Product
- The system has a 24/7 application running.
- It acts as a fax server for receiving the faxes
directly by the system.
- The Faxes is then scanned and routed to the appropriate
folders.
- In the Scanning process, the user can specify the
Keyword to scan in the Keyword Configuration File.
- The Scanning done on the incoming faxes can be done
for Single page, multiple pages or every page received.
- Specific users having access on those folders can
view the Faxes routed to the folders.
- The Fax documents received are archived in a separate
folder as backup.
- There is no need to use any data entry operator
for the operation.
- og files are created for each and every operations
made in the fax server.
- Reports can be generated for incoming and outgoing
faxes from the Log Files received.
