As the National DA database platform was being developed, MCI also integrated its vendor's proprietary DA search application into the MCI Operator Console, and then leveraged its Intelligent Services Network (ISN) platform to handle all of the calls. The purpose of this project was also to create and enhance the MCI DA Architecture to provide an open and standards based system allowing full integration and customization with other vendor systems.
