Greenware Implementation
Expertise
Our VMware Engineering team simplifies
the complex design and implementation issues of the
Virtualization so companies leverage their storage,
network, and computing resources to control costs and
respond faster. The VMware based virtual infrastructure
approach to IT management creates virtual services out
of the physical IT infrastructure, enabling administrators
to allocate these virtual resources quickly to the business
units that need them most. Our Hardware management is
completely separated from software management, and hardware
equipment can be treated as a single pool of processing,
storage and networking power to be allocated and de-allocated
on the fly to various software services.
Our expertise in implementing high
performance enterprise application using GigaSpaces’
development platform delivers unparalleled dynamic scalability
for high-volume transactional applications, without
the overhead and complexity inherent in traditional
multi-tier development & deployment environments.
GigaSpaces’ innovative “space-based architecture”
combines advanced services such as distributed data
caching, distributed messaging bus, parallel processing,
and grid-enablement with open standards and cross-language
support to enable a “write once, scale anywhere”
approach to the development and deployment of distributed
applications.
ZSL uses Azul Systems’ Appliances
which are based on multi-core chip technology is designed
to handle processing-intensive workloads associated
with dynamic web-based applications by creating a shared
pool of compute and memory resources. The technology
yields improved power and cooling performance and more
predictable service levels. The Azul Compute Appliances
enables transparent, massively scalable infrastructure
that supports the business priorities of today’s
most demanding enterprise environments and delivers
increased capabilities, capacity and utilization at
a fraction of the cost of traditional computing models.
Greenware offers the flexibility
to the Mid-Size Enterprises to leverage their Microsoft
Windows based infrastructure in conjunction with Windows
Server 2003, Virtual Server 2005 by implementing the
virtualization platform that runs most major x86 operating
systems in a guest environment, and is supported by
Microsoft as a host for Windows Server operating systems
and Windows Server System applications. Virtual Server
2005's comprehensive COM API, in combination with the
Virtual Hard Drive (VHD) format and support for virtual
networking, provide administrators complete scripted
control of portable, connected virtual machines and
enable easy automation of deployment, and ongoing change
and configuration.

ZSL is proud to be a certified partner of Compellent (NYSE: CML). Compellent’s Storage Center represents the Next Generation of SAN technology, offering unparalleled ease use, flexibility and the lowest TCO in the industry (Gartner).
Storage Center is designed to significantly lower storage and infrastructure capital expenditures, reduce the skill level and number of personnel required to manage information and enable continuous data availability and storage virtualization through the use of sophisticated software and a modular standards-based hardware approach which eliminates forklift upgrades.
As of January 31, 2008, Storage Center was being utilized by more than 1,000 organizations worldwide, across a wide variety of industries including education, financial services, government, healthcare, insurance, legal, media, retail, technology and transportation.
Compellent was named ‘Best SAN’ by InfoWorld for the second year in a row.

Dynamic Block Architecture:
Compellent’s Dynamic Block Architecture is the underlying technology that enables all of Compellent’s many industry first capabilities. A block is the lowest level of data granularity within any storage system. Dynamic Block Architecture allows Storage Center to record and track specific information about each block of data and provides intelligence on how that block is being used.
Virtualization:
Dynamic Block Architecture enables end users to create a shared storage pool, by creating Virtual Volumes across all disk drives in the array, regardless of drive type or size. This sophisticated technology does away with the inefficient practice of allocating specific disks to a Volume and RAID set, and the resultant over-provisioning of storage resources. With Storage Center’s virtualization capability, raw capacity is equal to used capacity, and allocated but unused storage space is a thing of the past.
Automated Information Lifecycle management:
Compellent is the only SAN vendor today that offers an Automated ILM capability. Called Data Progression, Storage Center’s Dynamic Block Architecture allows for automatic movement of blocks of data, within the volume, between tiers of high cost, high performance storage to tiers of lower cost high capacity storage. Industry analysts estimate that 70% to 80% of stored data is 'inactive' after two weeks of being written to disk. Data Progression provides a way to save substantially on CapEx by moving this data, without user intervention, to lower cost disks.

SnapShots:
Storage Center’s Snap Shot capability, called Data Instant Replay is the only Snapshot software that delivers near instant recovery from any point in time. Leveraging Dynamic Block Architecture, pointer based Snapshots overcome the limitations, capacity overhead, complexity and performance issues attended with copy on write approaches to Snapshots. Create and store frequent Replays (snapshots) at any time interval with minimal storage capacity and minimal performance degradation. Recover any size volume to any server in less than 10 seconds, without any of the traditional snapshot restraints.
Remote Replication:
Most organizations would like to implement a DR strategy, but costs and complexity deter such an implementation. Compellent’s Remote Instant Replay delivers Enterprise Class Disaster Recovery without the traditional costs and complexity.
Remote Instant Replay replicates continuous snapshots, called "Replays" between local and remote sites, ensuring business continuity at a fraction of the cost of other replication solutions. Using Compellent's wizard-based setup, customers are only 6 clicks away from a replication solution. Cost-effective IP-based replication, brings disaster recovery within reach of every business.
